LIFE Ireland’s 30 years

Friday, 28 October 2011 00:00

Congratulations to Life Ireland on 30 years of service.

Our sister organisation Life Ireland, celebrated their 30th Anniversary at a special event in Dublin's Mansion House last Saturday, in the same place where they had their very first meeting. Back then in 1981, Jean Garland one of the founders of LIFE NI was there to offer encouragement and support. This time it was LIFE NI Director Vivien Hunter who represented LIFE NI and offered our congratulations.

We have had close links with LIFE Ireland over the years, particularly with Colette Hayes one of the founding members and with Ann Kennedy who is now their CEO.  We wish them well for the future.

Connections 2011

Friday, 21 October 2011 00:00

The biggest event in the calendar, the Connections Schools Conference Roadshow has just finished. The ten day tour ran from Monday 3rd to Friday 14th October. It was another successful roadshow for with a massive total of 4,406 pupils from 68 schools attending the 10 different venues across Northern Ireland.

The success of each conference is due to the hard work, commitment and dedication of all those involved in the roadshow. The team of staff and volunteers work closely together to make sure that each conference on the tour runs smoothly—and also to ensure that each roadshow will be even better than the year before!
