LIFE NI moves offices

Monday, 30 January 2012 00:00

LIFE NI has moved!

For staff and volunteers at LIFE NI, 2012 has already become the year of the big move!

We’ve spent the last six weeks packing boxes and shifting furniture, then unpacking boxes, shifting furniture, cleaning and painting and all the other bits and pieces that go with re-locating!

Now we’re settling in to our new offices at 48 University Street! We’re just round the corner from Botanic Ave and opposite Duke’s Hotel, so it’s an ideal location.

And after 31 years in Bryson House, where the first LIFE Office opened in October 1980, its nice to have our own office building—a new building for a new chapter in the life of our organisation with room to grow and develop our services.

As well as housing the Regional Office and Pregnancy Matters Centre, the building will give us scope to open our first charity shop. Plans are underway to have this up and running before the summer. We’re really excited about so many new opportunities!

If you’re in the area, do drop in and see us and we’ll show you round.

Change of Chairman for LIFE NI

Monday, 14 November 2011 00:00

Mary Lewis has stepped down as Chairman of LIFE NI. Holding the post for almost 10 years, she has contributed much to the Executive Committee. We are glad not to be losing her experience and expertise, as she will be remaining on the committee.

A new Chairman for LIFE NI has been appointed.

Gordon McDade took up the position at the AGM. Gordon has been involved with LIFE NI in different roles since the late nineties and was previously Chairman from 2000-2002. We welcome him back to this important position at this time.
